El secretario de gobierno de Quintana Roo, Jorge Arturo Contreras Castillo, expuso ante empresarios del Consejo Coordinador Empresarial que ya se ha incluso delineado un esquema de subsidio que aportaría el gobierno del estado para el proyecto.
Por su parte, Iván Ferrat Mancera, dirigente del CCE del Caribe, expuso que lo planteado por el representante del gobierno del estado implica que el puente será de peaje, cuyo cobro por vehículo será de aproximadamente 20 pesos, los cuales deberán bastar para generar un punto de equilibrio que arroje ganancias para la empresa que gane la licitación.
Pero en caso de que el flujo vehicular no sea suficiente y no se generen los montos de retorno de inversión y ganancia esperados, el gobierno del estado aportará un subsidio para que se mantenga ese equilibrio financiero proyectado desde ahora.
Según lo declarado por el dirigente del CCE, el secretario de gobierno les aseguró que los 2,000 millones de pesos que aportará el gobierno federal ya están etiquetados en el presupuesto federal y sólo se está a la espera de la liberación de los recursos para avanzar con el proyecto.

Durante la junta mensual del organismo empresarial, el Secretario de Gobierno estatal presentó un avance de los proyectos que están en puerta y los retos que han enfrentado en la administración
“Hicimos un balance de los retos que ha enfrentado esta administración, de los avances que hemos tenido en los diferentes rubros y de cómo se ha atendido la pandemia, el tema del sargazo y que vamos a seguir trabajando fuerte, hay obras todavía por venir.
A ellos les interesaba mucho el puente sobre la laguna Nichupté que debe licitarse antes que concluya el año”, aseguró el funcionario estatal en entrevista al concluir la reunión.
En dicha reunión también los empresarios presentaron solicitudes relacionadas con el tema del registro público de la propiedad, revisar el tema del sistema penitenciario, así como la participación en los diálogos sobre el tren maya y sus procesos de construcción en el estado.
