Ofrecen tres hoteles más de mil vacantes frente al Palacio Municipal de Cancún
Cancún. – En medio de un déficit de trabajadores en el sector hotelero de Quintana Roo, después de la pandemia, tres cadenas con centros de hospedaje en la zona turística de esta ciudad, Costa Mujeres y la Riviera Maya realizaron hoy una jornada de contratación en la Plaza de la Reforma, frente al Palacio Municipal.
De acuerdo con Antonio Box, reclutador de los Royalton, esta feria fue realizada de manera independiente, sin coordinación con autoridades municipales ni estatales.
Dijo que, en su caso, las vacantes disponibles son tanto para el área administrativa como la operativa.
Por su parte, Emir Martínez, del Planet Hollywood reveló que su oferta es de unos 100 espacios en general.
“Tenemos distintas vacantes, desde área operativa hasta área administrativa, steward, áreas públicas, auxiliar de lavandería, esas son las más operativas que tenemos ahorita”, detalló en entrevista.
Aclaró que no hay límite de edad y que el principal requisito es disponibilidad de horario.
“Hacemos esto con la intención de que las personas no gasten su dinero yendo hasta el hotel, porque muchas veces eso pasa, de que les dices ve directamente al hotel y a veces no quedan y uno queda mal”, agregó.
En tanto, José Canché, reclutador de talento del grupo Palace Resort, indicó que tienen disponibles casi mil 200 vacantes para 11 complejos entre Cancún y la Riviera Maya.
“Las vacantes principales son oficiales de limpieza, steward, meseros, garroteros, cantineros”, apuntó.
El entrevistado pidió a los interesados asistir con la documentación básica en regla, como acta de nacimiento, comprobante de domicilio, identificación oficial y RFC.
Alberto Solís, presidente de la Asociación de Complejos Vacacionales y Turísticos (Acotur), reveló a fines de abril que hoteles y centros vacacionales tienen un déficit de trabajadores de entre un 20 y 30%, razón por la que han organizado estas jornadas de reclutamiento, incluso en otros estados.
Para Juan Manuel Carvajal, catedrático de la Universidad del Caribe, indicó que el fenómeno se debe a que la mano de obra calificada disponible no se siente atraída en parte por los bajos salarios de este sector, prefiriendo emprender.
