CANCÚN .– Rogelio Jiménez Pons, director general del Fondo Nacional de Fomento al Turismo (Fonatur), informó que en el tramo Cinco del Tren Maya será necesario realizar unos ajustes en la ruta, a la altura de Puerto Morelos, debido al puente que conecta a la zona urbana.
Al igual que ya sucedió en Campeche y Yucatán, donde fue necesario realizar ajustes al trazado original del proyecto, el funcionario recordó que el tramo Cinco de Cancún a Playa del Carmen será elevado, pero antes de llegar a Puerto Morelos será necesario descender a la superficie para librar de manera paralela la zona urbana, y de ahí se volvería a reintegrar hacia arriba.
Entrevistado por medio local, precisó que la entrada a la estación estaría a la altura de la Ruta de los Cenotes, y eso implicaría construir un puente.

Jiménez Pons señaló que no hay licitaciones para la construcción de las estaciones, si no que se van a incorporar a los tramos de los consorcios.
Serán unas seis estaciones del proyecto, cuyos primeros trabajos deberán a comenzar a realizar el próximo mes.
“En total son 30, entre estaciones y paraderos previstos en toda la ruta del Tren Maya, y sin duda una de las más importante será la que estará en Cancún”, señaló.
Luego de confirmar que las obras del viaducto de Cancún a Playa del Carmen comenzarán entre enero y febrero próximo, debido a que se continúan con los trabajos de geofísica por las características del suelo de la Península.
Asimismo, señaló que junto con esas labores se trabaja en la conclusión de las vías alternas, de aquí hasta antes de fin de año.
“Cuando se comiencen los trabajos fuertes a principio de año, ya deberán estar en operación todos los carriles alternos para evitar lo menos posible perjuicios al turismo. Habrá tramos en que se tendrá que disminuir la velocidad, pero la circulación será constante”, indicó.
